With the M1 processors, it has produced recently, it has achieved longer charging times and system performance compared to Intel and AMD‘s processors. With the release of Big Sur, Apple now fully supports ARM processors, with silicon chips developed for its own operating system instead of the x86/64 instruction set. It also supports GIF or video content in order to increase user interaction in the messages application. Developed for the first time to support ARM-based processors, version 11 is the new system that has completely changed its main version compared to previous versions.Īpple has improved the rounded corners icons and windows in the user interface for Big Sur, giving it a more transparent and smoother look. I'm posting this here so that perhaps it could help other people suffering from the same problem.Big Sur, named after a coastal region of California, offers the most advanced desktop experience to date. That doesn't make any sense! Why would a virtual network adapter conflict with the video display of a VM?Īnyway, I wish that VMware and/or NordVPN would acknowledge the problem and work on a fix :(

If I just close the connection, without even needing to close the program, and then restart VMWare, it would work fine. So after searching for days online, I actually found the problem: I was running NordVPN, and after the latest updates (don't know exactly if Windows, NordVPN or VMWare), it causes that problem to occur if I'm connected to a VPN server. One user suggested reinstalling the video drivers and rebooting, and that worked fine but only until the next reboot. A couple of days ago I wrote a post asking for help with a very frustrating issue: all VMs that I had on Workstation Pro 14, no matter the OS or even the host computer, would display completely black, however RDPing into them would show the client working fine.
